Make your support count - Help improve the lives of people with progressive MS
We have recently invested in research to find a successful treatment for progressive multiple sclerosis. More details can be found in the video below where the Lead Researcher, Claire Rice, gives more information about the study. We believe this offers real hope for the future, but we also understand that people living with progressive MS now need the highest levels of care and support to ensure that they have the best quality of life possible.
With your help, over the next 12 months we will:
- carry out research into the needs of people as their multiple sclerosis becomes progressive, examining from both the view of the person with MS and from the team of health professionals that provide their care. Amy Bowen, Director of Service Development at the MS Trust, discusses this research in the video below.
- use the results of this research to influence the commissioners of multiple sclerosis care services to improve the support and care provided for this group.
- train MS Specialist health professionals to provide better care for people with progressive MS through our educational training programmes.
- use the results of this research to improve our current information resources for people whose multiple sclerosis has become progressive.
