Making a mark on MS
Jo Addyman
Jo Addyman will be leaving a legacy to the MS Trust to help future generations of people with MS and their families.
Jo wants to help raise awareness that you don't have to be rich to leave a gift that can make a big difference. She said, "When I was diagnosed with MS in 2002 I went through all the usual feelings. I was angry, sad, mad and frustrated! Why me?
When I came across the MS Trust, I thought their positive attitude to MS reflected mine. I feel that they do a fantastic job of raising awareness as well as promoting a positive approach to the condition in the workplace. Having MS hasn't stopped me, I've taken on new things like competing in triathlons, horse riding and learning to cross-country ski!
"A legacy doesn't have to be much money, anything can help. It doesn't take much effort to set up and if the MS Trust has helped you, why not help them to help others after you've gone? By leaving a legacy I hope to help them continue all their good work."
