Christina Martin's second open day
Christina and her family had their second garden party for the MS Trust on 13 June 2010.
Christina said, "It was very wet - rained and rained - but the people still came. All my family and friends turned up to help and support us and a fantastic (but wet) day was had by all.
"We had a flower stall, with flowers donated by Tony Almonds and World of Flowers, a cake stall with all cakes donated by family and friends and tea and coffee donated by the Co-op. We had games helped by friends and family, who got very wet as we all did in the pouring down rain.
"We had a BBQ with burgers and sausages (donated by Gillions), a book stall, a tombola and a raffle. We had lots of donations for the raffle and prizes. A big thank you to JonPauls and Beauty at its Best for fab prizes for the raffle."
Christina's mum even did a sponsored slim and raised £270. What a star! Altogether Christina and her family raised nearly £800. We're tremendously grateful for all their hard work and for their willingness to get soaked for the cause.
