Ideas and inspiration

Your supper can be as simple or as lavish as you like, from a formal dinner party to a bag of crisps and a bottle of wine! Here are a few ideas to get you thinking...

Buffet

Rather than a sit-down meal - informal, encourages guests to mingle.

Outdoors

If it's a warm night, serve supper in the garden or hold a barbecue. Have a back-up plan in case it rains!

Harvest supper

Using seasonal produce - support your local suppliers or raid the allotment!

Pizza and ice cream party

Fun for kids and grown-ups alike! Buy the bases and add the toppings yourself. Requires little preparation.

Takeaway

Get someone else to supply the food!

Pick a theme

Such as Mexican, Japanese, Italian; it might help you decide upon a menu. You could even theme the drinks, decorations and music; go as far as your imagination takes you!

Picnic in the park

Champagne and canapés or sandwiches and squash, it's up to you.

Choose an unusual venue

On the beach, on the London Eye, in the middle of a roundabout, on top of a mountain - great for raising awareness!

Film night

With popcorn, crisps, potato wedges and dips.

Visit a restaurant

They may even let you have dinner at a reduced rate if you explain you're raising money for charity.

Fondue night

Tea party

With sandwiches & cake.

Soup supper

Invite the neighbours over! A great way to keep the community spirit alive.

Murder mystery

Dinner party.

Double up

You could combine a My Supper for MS with an existing event, like a birthday party. Ask guests to bring donations instead of presents.

Coffee morning

Wine tasting evening

With snacks.
