Wine, pate and cheese supper

Sherrie Herridge had thought she would struggle to raise £100 at her My Supper for MS. Imagine her delight, and ours, when the total actually came to £250!

Sherrie and her husband held a wine, cheese and pate supper for 23 guests on 3 September. Her friends Bob and Linda, who recently held a fundraising concert for local MS charities, attended the supper and Linda sang to entertain the guests.

Sherrie told us "I can't get over the generosity of friends, and neighbours particularly as we have three people with MS in our street alone." She was delighted to find that friends who were unable to attend also made a contribution.

She was also "gob smacked" by the generosity of some of her local supermarkets: Morrisons generously donated a fabulous hamper for the raffle, Aldi gave Sherrie £10 off shopping for the party and Asda contributed a £5 savings card.

Thanks to Sherrie for her hard work and enterprising ideas!

If you're hosting your own supper, why not approach your local supermarkets to see if they'll make a contribution? They might surprise you!
