How much will it cost to take partt?

£55 registration fee + £790 minimum sponsorship. The actual costs of the trip are £395 per person so the MS Trust receives £395, plus every penny raised over the minimum sponsorship. The sponsorship raised will enable the MS Trust to take positive steps to improve the lives of people living with MS today.

What will the food and accommodation be like?

Our accommodation will be in hotels which are comfortable and well situated but not luxurious. All rooms have en suite facilities. All food is included except meals taken on the ferry on both voyages.

What's not included in the tour?

Does not include personal insurance or bicycles (we do not recommend cycling on a mountain bike). It also does not include any snacks, drinks or personal expenses.

What will the cycling and support be like?

Support vehicles will be with the group all of the time and these will carry luggage and spares. The cycling is mainly undulating over rolling countryside which has some longer and demanding climbs and through sleepy picturesque villages.

How about the weather and safety?

The weather in Europe can change very quickly. The prevailing wind direction will have more of an impact on the cycling difficulty than rain. It is very important to be well equipped and prepared for all conditions.

What kit will I need?

A cycle helmet is compulsory and we recommend that you use a road or hybrid bike both for your training and on the cycle ride. We will send you a suggested kit list on booking.

Will I need to train?

A good level of fitness is required and it's vital that you train to ensure that you can complete the challenge. We will send you a suggested training plan on booking and will be available to help with any training advice you may need.

Will you help me to raise sponsorship?

The most important thing to remember is to allow enough time to achieve your minimum sponsorship target of £790. We will provide lots of tips and ideas on achieving your goal, and once you have started you should find that reaching your target isn't too difficult and is hopefully fun too!

This challenge is organised by Adventurous Ewe. Adventurous Ewe has been operating since early 2000. The crew is made up of highly motivated and experienced leaders chosen for their ability to inspire and lead groups of people in any challenge. They are all first aid trained, have excellent interpersonal skills and are adept at getting the best out of any situation. Their forte is ensuring 100% success for their customers in whatever their challenge is, be it for charity or personal ambitions.
