£299 registration fee + £2,000 minimum sponsorship. The actual costs of the trip are £980 so the MS Trust receives £1,020, plus every penny raised over the minimum sponsorship. The sponsorship raised will enable the MS Trust to take positive steps to improve the lives of people living with MS today.

Is the trip for me?

YES! The Sahara Trek will not only fulfil your ambition for a personal challenge but you will see sights you have never seen before whilst raising funds for a charity of your choice at the same time! Some people will bring friends or family along but most people go alone so everyone will be in the same situation and you will make friends for life!

How fit do I need to be?

You don't need to be an athlete or super fit to take part in the Sahara Trek and people from all walks of life will be participating with you. However you are trekking on sometimes tough uneven terrain in hot weather conditions so it's vital that you train to get the most out of the challenge.We will provide you with a full training plan to help you get in shape for the trip.

Will I be able to raise the sponsorship money?

YES! As long as you start early and allow yourself plenty of time you will find that you will have no trouble raising the minimum sponsorship level and we have suggested a few fun and easy ways of raising funds in this brochure to get you on your way! We will be on hand whenever you need and you will be provided with hints and tips on how to raise the required funds every step of the way.

Can I stay on in Morocco for longer?

YES! For a nominal administration fee your flight can be extended (subject to availability) which will give you an opportunity to explore this amazing country in your own time!

Will you help me?

YES! We have a dedicated event manager who will be your main contact from the time you register until you go on the trip! The confirmation pack you will be sent shortly after you register will include everything you need to know, however we are always on hand to help you with any questions you may have. We will also organise a get together before the trip so you can meet your fellow trekkers and swap training and fundraising ideas!

What is the food like?

We will enjoy delicious Moroccan specialities such as Couscous which is usually served with vegetables and chicken or lamb, and Tajine which is a scrumptious stew cooked slowly in a pot over a charcoal fire.

What do I need to bring?

You need to bring along a sleeping bag and a sleeping mat, but apart from that all specialist equipment will be supplied and we will of course send you a full packing list once you have registered.

Will you carry my luggage whilst I'm walking?

Your luggage will be carried on camels led by experienced cameleers. You'll just need to carry a small daypack with those essentials such as a camera and sun tan lotion.

What's included?

Flights and all internal travel, accommodation and camping equipment (except sleeping bag and sleeping mat), all meals (except last evening),water, refreshments, guides and medical support.
