Turin Marathon

The start of the race

14 November 2010 - 42 km (26 miles)

Held in Turin, Italy

The first marathon held in Turin was back in 1897 and it's a little known fact that it is one of the oldest in the world. Turin was Italy's first capital and birthplace of the nation and today is vibrant, with many outstanding tourist attractions and museums.

What's special about the Turin Marathon 'La Stampa' Grand Prix is that the marathon route is a complete circuit with the start and finish in the impressive main square, Piazza Castello. This plaza in the heart of the city has a wonderful atmosphere and the baroque architecture is remarkable.

This 42 km race is listed in the international calendar of the IAAF and is classed as a Silver Road Race. It is renowned worldwide for its excellence and organisation.

  • Entry into the race costs 40 euros as long as you sign up before 4 October 2010 (after this the price increases to 50 euros from 5 October to 2 November and 80 euros after this).
