Emma raises awareness on the fourth plinth

Picture of Emma on the plinth

Emma stood for an hour on the 'fourth plinth' in Trafalgar Square to raise awareness of MS and how it affects young people.

Emma was taking part in Anthony Gormley's One & Other live artwork project. She was diagnosed with MS two years ago and wanted to use the opportunity to inform the public about what it means to be diagnosed with MS; also, to support the work of the MS Trust.

Emma said, "The MS Trust has provided me with reassurance and support, as well as giving me hope."

Emma spent the hour chained to a post and holding a banner that said 'Help break the shackles of MS'. The MS Trust would like to say thank you to Emma for braving the rain and for using her time on the plinth to raise awareness about MS in young people.
