Knitting on the fourth plinth
Sarah Kerton spent an hour knitting on the 'fourth plinth' in Trafalgar Square to raise awareness of multiple sclerosis and the MS Trust.
Sarah, from Liverpool, was taking part in Anthony Gormley's One & Other live artwork project. She chose to use the opportunity to raise awareness of MS as her cousin and her aunt both have MS. After reading on the MS Trust's website about our 'tie a virtual knot' campaign for legacy awareness week, Sarah decided to do a sponsored knit to raise funds.
Sarah said, "I am knitting to raise awareness of the MS Trust, being just days after the Forget Me Knot campaign to encourage people to remember charities in their wills. It's a charity close to my heart, as my aunt and cousin both suffer, as do friends. The MS Trust provides valuable resources to sufferers, funds research and development work and campaigns for the improvement of services."
We would like to thank Sarah for helping to raise valuable funds and awareness.
