Record breaking year for London Marathon team

Congratulations to our 2012 London Marathon team for having raised a record breaking sum of money!

This year's London Marathon team has raised over £160,000 for the MS Trust, and we would like to say a huge thank you to all our runners who worked so hard to achieve this fantastic total.

The top 2012 London Marathon fundraiser was Steve Fox (pictured below), who ran on one of the MS Trust's places to fundraise for both us and for the Chilterns MS Centre where his wife works as a Speech and Language Therapist. Steve raised over £14,000 in total so we were delighted to receive half of such a huge fundraising sum! Steve and the MS Trust's Fundraising and Marketing Director Jo Sopala recently visited the Chilterns MS Centre to hand over a cheque for the other half of the money to their Chief Exectuve, Jo Woolf.

Although Steve ran on one of our Gold Bond places, we couldn't have achieved this record total without the support of runners who gained London Marathon places through the ballot. If you or someone you know has entered the ballot for a place in the 2013 London Marathon then do let us know - people with their own place will receive all the support that we offer to all members of the MS Trust London Marathon team!
