More about research
The Research section of our website has been expanded. As well as news about the latest research from around the world, you can now find out about how to get involved in research. We've included an overview of what taking part in a study might entail, pros and cons of participating, and how to locate studies which are recruiting.
Disease modifying drug therapy: what you need to know
Published in June, the fully revised new edition of this book helps people decide on the most appropriate approach to treatment and to discuss their options with their health professionals.
As well as information about the beta interferon drugs and glatiramer acetate, the new book includes a section on natalizumab and other drugs that are sometimes used by people with MS or which are currently in clinical trials.
Are you sitting comfortably..?
This new book looks at the effects of posture and suggests simple changes to achieve as good a posture as possible.

Pain chatroom
Pain is a notoriously difficult symptom to treat and can have a major impact on someone's quality of life. Are you affected by pain? How do you manage? Our next chatroom in September will allow you to share your comments and questions on this topic with other people with MS and professionals.
If you are unable to get to the chatroom on the day, you can still add your comments and questions by sending them in advance. A transcript will be available after the session.
