Water Skiing

Photograph of person waterskiiing

Water skiing is both a recreational activity and a competitive sport. It can be performed on two skis, one ski, riding a wakeboard or kneeboard, on a disc or even barefoot! The British Disabled Water Ski Association's aim is to introduce newcomers to the sport who, due to their disability, would not have considered the challenge possible.

Winter Sports

Winter sports is the collective description for sports such as skiing (downhill and cross country), skating and snowboarding. Although the UK is not geographically suited to these sports, there are artificial slopes around the country and facilities on real snow in the highlands of Scotland. The British Winter Sports Commission promotes winter sports for all disabled people.
