Baby, MS and Me Home

Breastfeeding

No I won’t write an entry about the silly people that complain about this being done in public. I mean how dare women use their breasts for what they technically are meant for (that is feeding babies for you who weren’t sure)! Breasts are purely meant for page 3 and nothing else…*sigh*. We do live in a stupid world at times. Anyway someone alerted me to this piece of news, “Breastfeeding ‘can reduce chance of multiple sclerosis sufferers having a relapse’” which I think is very interesting. It just shows more and more the benefits of breastfeeding.

I am thinking myself that once I stop breastfeeding that I might go on medication. I haven’t been on any DMT’s yet, but last time I saw my neurologist he did say I would qualify for them, but I wanted to wait as we wanted to start a family. Which is why when I see him next (actually next Monday) I will discuss the options of starting them, or at least looking into starting them in say a years time. (Here’s to hoping there is a nice oral one that works by then!) But I really do want to give breastfeeding a chance as it really seems to benefit booth mother and baby. I guess if I do end up doing it in public I can always carry with my a copy of the Sun or Nuts to give to any poor people being traumatized by the sight of it…

xoxo
