Baby, MS and Me Home

Nearly 3 weeks

Tomorrow Tycho will be 3 weeks old. Time is moving fast, but on the other hand it feels like this has been our life for a long time. We are getting a little more sleep, maybe manage 4-5 hours a night, not all in one go ofcourse but between feedings. He has started putting some weight on, so we are still doing the formula feed at 10 pm, then I normally go to bed and Steve stays up with Tycho, until he falls asleep and then take him upstairs, then I do night service. Sometimes he is still full from the formula during some of the night feeds, and will only eat for a bit, so I then go downstairs and spend quailty time with the breastpump…these past 3 weeks I do feel more and more like a dairy cow.

Sadly my tingly MS leg is back, it returned about a week ago. I mostly notice it towards the night when I get more and more fatigued, so far and touch a huge redwood sized piece of wood, I haven’t felt anything else. But I know I need to get my rest, and eat well, and try to get some exercise. But that last bit is tricky as my scar still hurts quite a lot. Long walks do make me very tired. But I just got to keep with it.

Steve is going back to work at thursday, as he had to take a few days of early as Tycho showed up a week early, they now want him back at work. As I am still quite sore he has been doing most of the lifting and pretty much all the housework, so I am a bit nervous how this will go. Mostly I fear I will be stuck to the sofa as Tycho just wants to feed all the time. Just hoping he will put his weight on and my milk production will get better and he will be less of a sad boy. Oh well one day at the time!

xoxo
