I was chatting to a friend of mine the other week that has got crohn’s disease, we were discussing swine flu and how annoying it was to hear people say “well at least the people who have been dying mostly had some underlying illness”. We were saying yes that is all fine and dandy to hear for the “normal” population but what about us who have medical conditions already. Not sure really if that scares me more or less.
Anyway you don’t hear much about swineflu on the news anymore do you? It is funny as it is now all over the news in Sweden. I guess we are a bit behind over there. Still it will be interesting to see if I will be offered the vaccine when it comes. I will be lying if I don’t admit it still scares me a little. Not so much for myself really, but if Tycho would get it. I went to a toddler group today and it was lovely (apart from a little boy falling on Tycho and scaring him, Tycho was really brave and didn’t even cry, just a big pout and a angry look at the boy) but all I could think about was “kids spread flu”. Very sad really.
