As I said in the post I wrote at lunch, I was working from home today. Don’t think I have ever seen this much snow since I used to live in Sweden. Of course all travel is still crazy, and nobody has been here to sort our street either. Yesterday when we went out for a meal with a friend I was holding on to Steve for dear life, walking on the ice, and that was without the snow. I am scared to think how many people have fallen over out there today!

The kids were happy though, we have a green (not so green anymore!) outside our house and they have been out there playing most of the day, as a steady background noise while I have been working. But I am happy I didn’t go out. I didn’t used to have that much trouble with cold before, but during my first relapse I ended up having a lesion on my spine that completely screwed up my feeling of hot or cold in my right leg during the relapse. Since the relapse it mostly feels ok, but when it gets cold my thigh muscle feels like it gets twisted, like someone is giving me a Chinese burn. It doesn’t hurt that much, it just feels a bit uncomfortable to walk. That combined with snow and ice, is not so hot (pardon my bad joke).
On a good note the house got cleaned yesterday, and thanks to a friend who helped us with some things down to the charity shop during the weekend, you can now start to see the floor too. Which is good as IKEA will come in a few weeks and deliver flat packed boxes for a our new kitchen! The fun never ends…
Have a good Monday evening out-there!
xoxo
Hellie
