Baby, MS and Me Home

Tiny snotty nose

Tycho has a cold for the first time. I really thought when I had my rather long and stubborn cold a month ago that he would catch it but he got away un-bunged up. This time we both seem to have caught a cold at the same time. Mine hasn’t been so bad, mostly had two days of feeling bunged up and had a sore throat. The boy on the other hand wasn’t that lucky. Poor little Tycho sounds like a pug or little bulldog when he is trying to feed. It is quite horrible to think about that tiny tiny nose being filled up with snot and gunk.  He also has a bit of a cough, but he doesn’t seem to be suffering from it too much. Yesterday he was mostly happy and smiley all day, until it came to bedtime that is. Bedtime is still a pain.

For me the cold wasn’t so bad, apart from bringing out the fatigue. Speaking of side effects and symptoms, I was reading this piece of research about headaches, and that people with MS are more prone to them. I sometimes suffer from really bad headaches, I used to almost think it was migraines. Sometimes they last several weeks. I guess it could maybe be another thing to add to the list of MS problems then. It is getting easy to blame my MS for most things, I guess there might be a danger in that too.

Today I am going to go with a friend to a NCT sale, I shouldn’t really buy more toys for Tycho he has plenty of stuff, but it should be fun to go and have a look. Steve is looking after the snotty boy. I realise I haven’t yet been away from Tycho for more than 2 hours. I am glad there is still over 6 months away before I go back to work, as I really would have problems leaving him for a full day. Hopefully in that time it will become less hard.

And almost like he would know I am typing this I can hear him cry a bit upstairs so I better go and give the little pug dog a cuddle.
