Baby, MS and Me Home

Trapped in the bedroom

At the moment me and my husband are trapped, we are sitting on the bed sharing a bag of crisps. Downstairs an electrician is changing our fuse box over, he has also rewired the whole kitchen. He is blocking the door so we can’t get anywhere.  The house is filled to the brim with boxes. The only floor space we have is in a very dusty kitchen, and up here in our bedroom, but even in here we now have a box for a changing table, a baby car seat and a Moses basket,. The second bedroom is filled to the max, with things that needs  to go to the tip and to charity again.  Even our tiny landing is filled with boxes.

Our new kitchen got delivered today, this is why our house looks like we are preparing for the apocalypse . Or maybe even  survived one, currently we have no power, so this is being written offline. I will upload it when the nice man downstairs is ready, to turn it on again. I am meant to be working today from home, but I fear my timesheet will look an awful mess as I started at 8 then had no power for 90 minutes, then power on for about 2 hours and now off again. Lucky for me my laptop has a pretty good battery, and there was some stuff I could do offline. But I do feel lost without the internet…sad person that I am.

Builders were here this morning and ripped units out, I was hiding up here working, but I got curious and decided to go downstairs and have a peek, and it was worth it. Seems some previous owners must have shared my parents love for brown and orange in the 70’s. One wall must have had orange psychedelic pattern and the other fake, yes fake wood panel wallpaper. Amazingly ugly, but fun to see. I think there is about 4 different wallpapers on display in there now.

We also had a delivery of baby goods today one thing seems to be the wrong thing, but at the moment there is no room to investigate.

The gasman was here before 8 am taking the cooker out, so Steve is now hoping for pizza everyday…blergh. I do like pizza but not for 4 days straight. I think I will have to kill his dream.

Right, I hope the power comes on soon, or I will be very tempted to try to steal a neighbours wifi so I can check my work mail. *sigh* I would be so rubbish  during a long power cut.

Hope you are having a more relaxed day than me!

xoxo
