Got a really nasty pain in the scar area yesterday and called the midwife who told me to take my painkillers, I was given a cocktail of painkillers to take home from the hospital after the c-section, one of them being Codeine. I had heard of it before but not really knowing how strong it is or what side effects it can have. (more…)

NCT Course

Went to our final NCT course today. This time it was about breastfeeding, sleeping patterns and C-sections. I have really enjoyed all 3 days that I have gone to, the group is great, the teacher was fab and I am really happy we went. As I mentioned before we were singed up for NHS courses as well. We have since dropped out of these, two reasons mainly; 1 they were on the same day as the NCT courses and it just got a bit too much, I was exhausted the day after, there was also a lot of overlap. 2 there were so many people there that didn’t want to be there, young dads sitting in the back grumbling about being there instead of taking part, girls looking bored rolling their eyes at the questions we were meant to discuss. Dreaming of you…ermm drugs?

Very odd, just before I woke up this morning I recall dreaming about disease modifying drugs in all their glory. Not sure what the dream was I just know when I woke up I had the words rebif and copaxone floating around in my head. I think I might have dreamt of injecting myself in my leg. Very nice dream! This is what happens when you read books about the subject before bedtime.
