Having scans is a funny old thing. When it comes to the two MRI scans I have had, I can’t say I was looking forward to them. They were scary and uncomfortable, and it’s very easy to feel a bit panicky in that noisy shaky tube. My second MRI scan started out badly. When I went in to the tube, I was told they would play some music to distract me from the noise. Great, I thought, as I had been very bored during my first scan, with nothing to do except listen to the dunk-boink-dunk-boink-ratatatatatata sound of the machine. So they strapped me in me in, pushed me into the scanner. And start playing the music. Now, of course they couldn’t know, but the music they chose was the song that has been played at all three family funerals I have been to. It didn’t put my mind at ease, to say the least.

My name is Hellie and I’ll be your blogging host for the next few months. I’m not sure exactly what I’ll write about just yet. The plan is for it to be about my MS and my pregnancy, but I am sure other things will sneak in too.
