Sleepy

It’s funny i get what they mean when they are saying your body prepares for looking after a baby the last few weeks of pregnancy. My sleeping patterns are really up the creek. I can’t sleep at all for more than say 3 hours at the the time. Then I am awake for a bit, then I snooze, get up and go to the loo, sleeep, dream crazy stuff about telling of some evil lady about smoking in a non-smoking cafe, wake up, lay and think, go to the loo, sleep some more etc. So I can see the body is getting ready for sleepless nights or tending to screaming bundle of joy and poo. Ready, Set, Sleep!

My second-half can sleep anywhere, on floors, in noisy rooms, or in broad daylight. Me, I have always been a “bad” sleeper. Steve says I wake up if ‘a gnat farts‘, and he might be right. I take a long time to settle and often toss and turn a lot. My favourite position for sleep is on my belly, hands under the pillow and my head tilted to the left leaning on my right arm. But since MS I have problems doing this because my arm falls asleep, and then I wake up from having a completely dead arm. So asleep that it feels like someone else’s arm!
