As I said in the post I wrote at lunch, I was working from home today. Don’t think I have ever seen this much snow since I used to live in Sweden. Of course all travel is still crazy, and nobody has been here to sort our street either. Yesterday when we went out for a meal with a friend I was holding on to Steve for dear life, walking on the ice, and that was without the snow. I am scared to think how many people have fallen over out there today!

When I woke up on Monday, my husband looked out of the window and went “Oh, snow”. He commutes into London, so snow equals delayed trains and not much fun at all. As for me, I was a bit annoyed. I had been hoping for a white Christmas, not a white day for my first time back at work after ten lovely days off. Once I got down to the kitchen and saw the snow outside the window, I decided it was time to dig out my hiking boots.
