was great, it really was, I even continued running a bit during the walking stages. Starting to feel like ever so slowly I am getting into a better shape. I really hope I will be able to continue on “learning” at this speed so I will be able to run the whole race without walking, it is my goal after all, then even if I would last it wouldn’t matter as long as I run it!

Run Forest run

Yesterday my run went really well, I am now back on the run for 90 s and walk for 2 mins, it felt really good. My funny leg did act up a little, I feel the cold air more when I run which makes the leg feel a bit weak. Funny things happen to you with MS! Maybe I will be able to guess if it will be raining from having pains in the leg?
Mainly I get issues when it goes from one temperature from another quickly, like cold air on a warm leg, or when you run and the leg goes hot. Then the leg feels not as strong as normal, if it is really bad I have to slow down a bit, just to make sure I don’t end up on my butt! But most of the time you can just work through it til the leg gets used to the new temperature.
Now tomorrow I am off again if all goes to plan!

Today I have been a very good girl. Got up at 6 am sorted out the boy and then went out for a run at 7.30. It was probably the best one yet, I felt like I could run longer than the 60 s. I also manged to do a longer distance which should mean I am a bit faster too.
Then I went for a long walk, I walked from Letchworth to Hitchin to a friends house for lunch, and then a walk with her down town in Hitchin to let the kids play in a soft play area. I didn’t walk back to Letchworth after that, I took the train but I did of course walk back the 20 mins from the train station too. I wish I would have had the step counter on me as I suspect it would have made me very proud!
Now i got tired feet!

The good girl went for a run this morning. Nothing much more exciting to report, it went ok, still doing the 60 s run 90 s walk. If all goes to plan I will run again on wednesday and friday. Legs feel ok but I am rather sleepy.
Sorry about a very boring post!

Update

I did go for a run on Thursday, I started from the very beginning ( a very good place to start) and ran for 60 s and then walked for 90, it went ok, it was a bit wobbly in the old MS leg at times but not too bad.
I have been very slack this weekend though, due to my little money not sleeping and me being awake for most of the nights. We have been out for long walks to make up for it. My plan now is to go to bed soon and get up for a run in the morning. I really need to keep at it now so I will be ready for June 13. I guess I also need to ramp up the sponsorship asking/begging…many thanks to the people who have already sponsored me!!!
Right a bath and then bed for this tired couch hero…
