Running Fail

23rd March 2010 by helena

I didn’t feel like a run was a good idea this morning. My little boy woke up at around 4 and took awhile to settle and my stomach still felt unsettled so I thought I better save it for tomorrow. I got errends to run today so I should be running around ( well not proper running) with the push chair plenty enough today anyway.

I wanted to get in 2 runs this week as I will be going away for a bit so I have to put the program on hold for a bit. But I will make sure to get atleast one walk in every day during this time!

Sick

22nd March 2010 by helena

Well today didn’t really go so well. It started nicely, my son slept for 12 hours and I woke before him, but sadly I woke up feeling very iffy. Kept on battling nausea the whole day and eventually I threw up. So today was really a rest day, I didn’t even leave the house. It is very annoying as I was meant to go to the movies tonight :( Instead I am sitting here on the sofa watching telly. I will go to bed soon and then if I feel up for it I will still go for a run tomorrow depending on how well I will sleep. I do already feel tonnes better though, so keep those fingers crossed for me I will be ok in the morning.

3rd run

21st March 2010 by helena

Today didn’t start off great. Yesterday my son started throwing up and kept on at it through the night. I think I ended up sleeping a total of 3 hours, so I wasn’t exactly bouncing out to start running.

Instead of going in the morning I went out just before 3 o’clock, I did manage to run when I was meant to run but it did feel like hard work. More sleep and running in the mornings is the way to go.

Well I survived first week. On Tuesday it is running for 90 s walking for 2 minutes.

Rest day

20th March 2010 by helena

Feeling fine today, sure I can feel a bit of ache in my legs but not too bad. Actually looking forward to a run tomorrow. Stupidly I have had a huge dinner so I am feeling very full. Really I should run twice as long to compensate but I better keep to the programme.

I had to go downtown today to go to the hairdressers and I was late so I did a very brisk walk, and I didn’t feel too out of breath, can it be that only two runs have already improved things? Surely it seems too fast!

Bring on tomorrow

2nd run

19th March 2010 by helena

When I woke up this morning just before 7 I thought it would be very very hard to run, as my legs still ache. But I fed the boy, left him with my husband and went downstairs to get my gear on, and off I set. And amazingly it went great! I ran a bit slower this time, but I managed to run in all running sessions. It is still run for 60 s walk for 90.

Now an hour later and I actually feel fantastic and a bit high from the run. I doubt I will feel like this I a few hours, so better make the best of it now I guess!

Tomorrow I rest and off again on Sunday!

Enjoy your Friday!
