Last October, London-based design company Constructive Space decided to choose the MS Trust as its charity of the year for 2017. It was a cause close to the company’s heart, as the wife of one of the directors has been living with MS for over 10 years.
“I rang the MS Trust for some advice when my wife was first diagnosed 11 years ago and they were great, they really put our minds at ease,” the director told us. “If we wanted to speak to someone, they were always there to talk to, and that went a long way with us.”
Determined to help make a difference for people with MS, the team at Constructive Space have gone above and beyond in aid of the MS Trust, exceeding their original fundraising target of £10,000 by over £7,000. Over the past 12 months, staff have run marathons, organised golf days, canoed across Scotland, gone ‘sober for October’, and taken part in 'Veganuary' to raise vital funds and awareness.
Emma Barker, Trusts and Corporate Manager at the MS Trust, thanked everyone at Constructive Space for their incredible support: “We have been so privileged to partner with Constructive Space over the past year; their hard work and dedication to the cause have been inspiring. The money raised will enable us to continue providing free information for anyone affected by MS and make sure everyone with MS has access to a specialist MS nurse. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
Rob White from Constructive Space added, “It’s been a pleasure working alongside the MS Trust for the past year. Outstanding levels of encouragement and support from Emma Barker and the MS Trust team have made it a fantastic experience raising money for such a worthy cause.”
