Being on the list doesn't affect availability of fingolimod but means that the FDA will investigate whether there is a link between adverse event and the medication.<br />

In the initial phase 2 study, the drug was given as an injection twice a year.  Relapse rates fell with treatment and were lower 18 months after the final injection.<br />
