Carer strain increases with disability
The level of strain felt by carers for people with MS is higher in when the person being cared for is more disabled, according to a Spanish study that assessed the Caregiver Strain Index (CSI). The factors contributing to stress included financial strain, upsetting changes in the person being cared for, inconvenience, emotional problems and work adjustments
