Disease modifying therapies: update

Initiation and management of patients on disease modifying therapy (DMT) remains a core role for MS nurse specialists. An understanding of the role and current limitations of DMT is also relevant to other members of the MDT in their day-to-day patient contacts. In the last year substantial additional data has become available on both standard and higher efficacy DMT. This session will review this data, consider its implications for practice and also allow the opportunity to discuss therapies currently in late stage clinical trials.
