Oswestry standing frames: a mixed methods investigation of the use of Oswestry standing frames in the home

Standing is an integral part of what it is to be human, allowing us to carry out a multitude of activities and interact with people eye-to-eye. However, weakness and poor balance can limit the quantity, or quality, of standing for many people with MS. This article looks at a study exploring the physical and psychological impact of regular standing in an Oswestry standing frame in people with MS who were either walking a few metres with bilateral support or were unable to walk.
