Miles for MS is the brand new distance challenge fundraising event for the MS Trust. Set your own distance you want to cover throughout May and raise money to support people living with MS.

Sarah has signed up to take part and has set herself a challenge to walk 100 miles throughout the month.

“I wanted to get involved as I suffer with MS myself," says Sarah. "I know the daily struggles and am willing to do anything that may help me and the thousands of others affected in the future.

"I've always wanted to do the Great North Run for the MS Trust. I used to be a runner many years ago but my body no longer allows me to run. So taking part in Miles for MS seemed like a great way to raise money and challenge myself at the same time. I can do it at my own pace so if I have a bad day I know it's not the end of the world.

"For anyone else thinking of doing this challenge I would say go for it. You can set any target you like, no matter how huge or how small. Anything that makes you challenge yourself can be used as a goal. Why not try it? You might surprise yourself.”

Whether it is half a mile or 100 miles, you can pick how far you want to go and do it your way. Walk, wheel, arm cycle, swim, run, row… it’s up to you. If you raise £125, you will receive your very own Miles for MS medal.
