Book your tickets for Being film screening

2 September 2018

Being, a short film directed by Devlin Crow, tells the story of a young boy who cares for his mother who has MS.  The film is being screened at Depot Cinema, Lewes, on Saturday September 15 and donations on the day will be going to the MS Trust.

Buddy is a young carer for his mum Margaret who has multiple sclerosis. The responsibility this places on his young shoulders leaves Buddy struggling to live a normal childhood. Until a new friend Doley helps him live out an old dream.

Guardian film critic Danny Leigh describes Being as "a huge-hearted story of mothers and sons, mods and scooters, love, anger and human kindness."

Director Devlin Crow's wife Kennedy lives with multiple sclerosis, and Devlin is her carer, so the film has elements based on the director's own personal experiences.

The film screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the cast and crew:  Mark Wingett (Doley), Joshua Farley (Buddy) and Devlin Crow (director and writer). Simon Wells, journalist and writer of Quadrophenia - "A Way of Life", will be the interviewer.
