Disease modifying drugs - NHS England invites your views on a new algorithm

Published on

A public consultation on guidance on the use of disease modifying drugs (DMDs) for people in England with relapsing MS is open until 5 May 2018

NHS England and the Association of British Neurologists, with input from other organisations including the MS Trust, have drawn up an algorithm that sets out the treatment options for people with relapsing multiple sclerosis. The aim is to ensure consistent access to the full range of NHS-approved DMDs in England, and that the drugs are prescribed appropriately and effectively.

NHS England is inviting comments on the algorithm and accompanying guidance document that provides extra detail. The closing date is Saturday 5 May 2018.

You can read the algorithm and guidance document on the NHS England website
