Hong Kong Moontrekker

Published on

In October 2014, Ed Bracken ran the Hong Kong Moontrekker with three friends and raised nearly £4,000 for the MS Trust.

The Moontrekker is a 43km overnight race across the hills of Lantau Island in Hong Kong, finishing with an ascent of Lantau Peak (Hong Kong's second highest summit at 934m).

"The race went really well" said Ed. "We finished as the 11th fastest team which was a nice result. I fundraised for MS Trust because my Aunt had MS and sadly died 5 years ago, so it's something that's very close to my heart. I saw first-hand both how she suffered from such a terrible disease, but also the enormous care and comfort provided by MS Trust (in addition to the research MS Trust funds). I primarily fundraised by asking friends, family and work colleagues to sponsor me and I was very pleased by the response."
