Resistance training reduces brain shrinkage

A small study has reported that resistance training, twice a week for 6 months, can slow down loss of brain tissue and might increase the volume of some parts of the brain. The researchers suggest this might indicate that exercise has a neuroprotective or even neuroregenerative effect.
