My skydive was just the beginning

Lois on the day of her skydive

Lois has developed a taste for fundraising after raising £600 through a sponsored skydive to support her mum who has MS.

Here she tells us more about her experience.

My name is Lois. I am 20 and from Sefton in Liverpool. I chose to fundraise for the MS Trust as my mum has MS and it is something that is close to our hearts. I saw the MS Trust's ‘Jump in June’ campaign in one of the leaflets that my mum receives through the post and jokingly she asked me to do it... I couldn’t chicken out now!

A skydive might be a once in a lifetime experience so it was a win-win situation, all for a great cause. I would advise anyone to do a skydive, especially for a charity. I paid for the jump out of my own pocket and raised £600 for the MS Trust in sponsor money in roughly a month and it has given me a taste to carry on the fundraising further. I didn’t realise there were so many weird and wonderful ways to raise money and I can’t wait to continue this.

I would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone that sponsored me, my family who supported me on the day and the MS Trust for their time, cooperation and help both pre and post jump!!!
