Virtual PA Services take on the Gladi8tor

Published on

Five colleagues from Virtual PA Services in Colchester took on the Gladi8tor challenge, an 8 mile obstacle race through Thetford Forest, and raised more than £3,000 to help people with MS.

Virtual PA Services embarked on a campaign to raise money for charity and chose the MS Trust because the disease has had an impact on the lives of several members of the team. The Gladi8tor seemed the ideal challenge as the training involved showed our commitment to the cause. The event was so tough that clients, friends and colleagues felt compelled to send in a donation!

The day loomed and five nervous participants put themselves through nearly three hours of 'hell' - running through thick mud, hurdling huge obstacles and swimming through freezing cold rivers (you could hear the ice clinking!!). The day was not without some emotional moments, especially when Connor (who is diagnosed with MS) ran the last straight with his 14 year old brother, and there were tears of relief when it was over.

We have currently raised £3000 and the total is still increasing! It's an amazing feeling to complete the challenge and know that you have raised valued funds for this amazing cause.
