If you live in England and need prescription medicines on a regular basis, pre-payment certificates (PPC) may be a more cost effective.   Prescriptions are free in Scotland, Wales and Northern Irelnd

If you are on a low income but are not exempt from charges for NHS prescriptions, dental or optician services or for travel to receive treatment, the NHS Low Income Scheme may be able to help

The Blue Badge scheme provides parking benefits for people with a disability who travel either as a driver or a passenger.  If you receive Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Personal Independence Payment (PIP) you may be able to apply for free or reduced vehicle tax on your car.
