A to Z of MS Association of British Neurologists (ABN)
The ABN is the professional association for neurologists in the UK founded in 1932. The stated aim of the Association of British Neurologists is to improve the health and well-being of people with neurological disorders by advancing the knowledge and practice of neurology in the British Isles.
Guidelines developed by the ABN in 2001 are used as the prescription criteria for the disease modifying drugs for multiple sclerosis under the Risk-sharing Scheme. Revised guidelines that incorporate subsequent advances in treatment were published in November 2009.
The MS Trust's map of services shows specialist MS centres in the UK and the neurologists within those centres.
