The third exhilarating MS Trust Monster Ski challenge will take place in Whistler, the official host mountain resort for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games!
Participants will take on the Gold Medal Challenge and aim to ski 150,000 vertical feet over five days (the height of Mount Everest per day) or the Silver Medal Challenge, skiing 100,000 vertical feet in total (the height of Mount Kilimanjaro per day)!
Previous Monster Ski events in Colorado and Engelberg have raised over £220,000 to support the work of the MS Trust.
Registration fee: £195
Minimum sponsorship: £3,000

Monster Skiers raise £60,000 for Multiple Sclerosis Trust
Thank you very much to the 16 skiers and boarders who completed the MS Trust's 'marathon-a-day' Monster Ski challenge in the Swiss resort of Engelberg, in January 2009.
The group skied hundreds of miles over the three day challenge, all to raise awareness and funds for MS. The event was the brainchild of former RAF pilot Mike Laver, who was diagnosed with MS in 2005. Mike was one of four people with MS who took part.
Mike said, "Some of the Monster Skiers achieved some unbelievable totals - a stunning success for all. Special mention must go to all those participants with MS who, in taking part, have shown to themselves and to others that MS need not prevent you doing anything you set your mind to."
The Multiple Sclerosis Trust has been delighted by Monster Ski's success and has received over £60,000 in sponsorship. The money raised will provide information, education and research to help people living with MS in the UK today.
