The MS Trust are delighted to announce the appointment of Lucy Taylor as its new CEO.
Lucy joined the MS Trust in January 2021 as Director of Fundraising and Marketing, following a career as a leader within the charity sector. She has extensive experience of both health and the arts and cultural sectors - including RNIB, Mencap, Alzheimer’s Society and Action Medical Research.
Alongside her new role as CEO, Lucy also joined the Board of the Neurological Alliance in 2023. Within the increasingly challenging health and social care landscape, the Alliance provides a valuable opportunity to contribute to the collective voice of the wider neurological sector, whilst also continuing to advocate for the needs of the MS community.
During her time at the charity Lucy has taken overall responsibility for the charity’s fundraising, communications, volunteering, and digital teams. She has created an environment for her teams to thrive, despite the cost-of-living crisis and ongoing challenges within the NHS.
Chair of Trustees, Caitlin Sorrell, commented on Lucy’s appointment:

We're absolutely delighted to have her on board as our new CEO and to work alongside her to continue the MS Trust's mission of making sense of MS for everyone in the UK who is impacted by this disease.
Lucy made the following comment on her promotion:
I am intensely proud of the work that the MS Trust does to make a real difference to the lives of people with MS, through its trusted information, and unique health professional placement and education programmes. I’m delighted to be taking on this new role at such an important time for the organisation and looking forward to being able to take the charity from strength to strength.
Lucy will officially start her role as CEO at the 2024 MS Trust Conference, which takes place Sunday 17 March to Tuesday 19 March.
