Professional education
A major objective for the MS Trust is to offer educational programmes to health and social care professionals working with people who have MS.
There are increasing opportunities for studying issues related to the care and management of MS to degree level and beyond. The MS Trust has details on current courses and also has links with Leeds Metropolitan University, the University of Central England and Glasgow Caledonian University.
It is recognised that difficulties in funding can often restrict the educational development of health professionals working in the field of MS. In recent years many nurses, therapists and other health professionals have benefited from financial support from various initiatives undertaken for and on their behalf by the MS Trust.
