The MS Trust asked Dr Val Stevenson, Consultant Neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London to answer some questions, often asked by people with MS, about spasticity.
Spasticity can be a very real issue for some people and can impact significantly on their ability to maintain mobility and live without pain. With newer more effective management strategies now available it is vital that people with MS do not suffer in silence but understand what is possible to help with this difficult consequence of their MS.
