Don your dancing shoes and dig out those legwarmers!
On the Wednesday of MS Awareness Week (April 24), we want you to join us for a special dance-along! At 12pm, we’ll be streaming an inclusive dance class on our Facebook page (facebook.com/mstrustuk) and we want to see as many of you as possible moving and grooving for MS.
The class, which will be led by inclusive dance teacher Anisha (follow her at @zumbawithanisha), will last around 30 minutes and will be suitable for all abilities, so you can do the moves in a seated position or standing and choose the pace that suits you. Dance solo if you like, or you could get your friends, colleagues or classmates involved too? It doesn’t have to be dancing either, maybe you want to organise another kind of exercise class? You choose the moves and do it your way! The important thing is that you're doing something at 12pm on #WorkoutWednesday.
The dance-along is part of the MS Trust's Move it for MS MS Awareness Week campaign, in which we're calling on people with MS to pop on their pumps and introduce a little activity – big or small – into their daily routine. Staying active doesn’t need to mean running marathons or going to the gym, it’s about doing it at your own level, at your own pace. Doing it YOUR WAY.
